R.I.P. Justin Van Hoy
Artist Travis Millard hung this portrait of the late Justin Van Hoy a.k.a. “The Dutch Giant” in his latest exhibition “No Pressure”. Shortly after Justin passed away on November 14th, 2012, Obey Giant, 12oz Prophet and artist Christopher Bettig used their websites to sing their praises of Justin and share personal memories of The Dutch Giant with the rest of the world. It’s clear that Justin played an important role in the contemporary art scene in Los Angeles and his absence will be felt for a long time to come.
Travis Millard’s “No Pressure” will be the final solo show at Justin Van Hoy’s gallery, This Los Angeles, before it’s close in April.
